[Husker] Bo interviewed for PSU ?

Very true. I was most concerned about OSU hiring Bo away. Happy that Meyer
wanted the gig. I really doubt there was much of a conversation (if at all)
between Bo and PSU. Why would he ? Maybe if Bama or LSU came with a 5M per
year offer, he might jump, but I really would only see Bo consider OSU and
maybe the pros. I do expect Sip is correct, people will float Bo's name.
That happens for a number of reasons, if an AD has a name in mind, they may
throw a couple names out there as filler. There will always be internet
speculation and rabble-rousers :-)
I also do remember reading a lot of contacts go through third parties
(typically the agent and/or search firm). Plausible deniability.

No, the articles says that 'well placed sources' SAY he talked to people
at Penn State. Not quite the same thing.

Steve Sipple has it right: Get used to annual (if not more frequent)
speculation
about BO and coaching vacancies. Osborne got inquiries from other schools
and
the NFL for most of his tenure at Nebraska.

Now, what I have been told is that a lot of time initial inquiries are made
through
a third party, so that both the school and the coach can accurately deny
that
there was any contact between them.
