Ok , I'll accept your nit-pic - the coaches leaving was part of a*n attempt to reduce a forthcoming* punishment - probably makes it worse in my mind - because the penalty is not yet set. Hopefly the NCAA weighs this in the upcoming penalty - but I'm sure they won't.

They dismissed their coach ... He did not leave as part of an NCAA penalty.
