Correct.  The only requirement to play in the championship game is
being ranked in the final BCS poll at #1 and #2 and be eligible for a
bowl game.

And there is no "Nebraska Rule," other than if you're ranked really
high, don't lose your last game of the regular season to anything
resembling a buffalo by mucho points.

There is a "Kansas State Rule" and that is if you are ranked #3 in the
BCS, you get a BCS bowl.  They can't pass you up and put a lower
ranked team in your place.

I still think that it would be far more entertaining to watch LSU and
OSU go at it.  I'm not any more enthusiastic about another LSU-Bama
game than I was Huskers-Huskies #2 or #3.  This way there's no way to
prove if the Big 12(10) conference is stronger than the SEC because
the SEC gets the top team no matter who wins.
