one turns them down), they have terrific rivalries that they can start and
stop and start again whenever they want (a la Miami).  Now if you mean that
they haven't been consistently successful since Lou Holtz left, you'd be
right.  Many point to some poor head coaching hires (Bob Davie, Tyrone
Willingham, Charlie Weiss), but we know all about that here at Nebraska.  I
don't think being an independent has much if anything to do with their
on-field performance.

Just my opinion, other opinions respected of course.
