I think it was Branch Rickey who once told a young player who couldn't
decide between an offer from his team and some NFL team, "Son, you're 
going to have to choose between playing football or having a career 
in baseball."

I wish Bubba well, though the Royals seem to be going nowhere as usual.
(The Royals are kind of like the Cubs, but without the rabid fans and
assorted curses, like the goat and the black cat.)
