I would agree. The news cycles dictate the we have so much time to fill 
and we'll fill it. Bubba was the hot topic with a signing date looming. 
I seriously doubt that the rest of the team found it a distraction given 
the fact that who would seriously believe that someone would give up 
$7.5M. He didn't practice with the team so one could conclude that those 
"in the know" knew that there was really no chance that he would be with 
the team.
