I don't think this is true. As long as Texas and Oklahoma remain (which they will), the conference will remain. Those two teams aren't going anywhere unless the whole "super conference" explosion begins. 

I mean, why would they? Texas has a conference they can control, and Oklahoma has a conference they can win most of the time.
