rhymes with...... (sorry, just rewatched the game and now have that
unfortunate pronunciation stuck in my head)
I disagree with you, but I think it's a matter of personal preference. I
hate the generic nicknames prevalent in sports these days that are usually
just a shorthand of the player's name. I long for the days of Crazy Legs
Hirsch and Night Train Lane. To me, T-Mart is yet another in the long line
of bland sports nicknames with no personality, and it is definitely not
benign. To each his own.
T-Magic relies partially on that same crutch, but at least it has some
personality. And again, I like the fact that it is his actual nickname and
not something made up by a bunch of eggheads like us. It's not that he
"deserves" it, it just exists.
Although I certainly agree that any Heisman campaign needs to wait until
after this season at the very least.
