It actually originated with his Dad, during some tough times his Dad would always tell him not to worry about things because during the football season it was "Martinez Magic" time.  When he got to Lincoln it got shortened to "T-Magic".

I wasn't crazy abouy it either until I heard the story behind it.

It's not the most innovative, but that's what his teammates actually call
him. So I have no problem with it.
