"I think we have the POTENTIAL to have an explosive offense this year. But it's
kind of "I'll believe it when I see it for me". Hopes against hopes that we hang
onto the ball and rack up many points. But the skeptic in me says more like
Huskers 16-10."

Don't get to post often on Husker List but i sure enjoy reading all the posts. Didn't get to read many from Friday, but did today and got a big chuckle out of many of the projections of what will happen. Stewart, I am not signalling you out but just the remarks which were scattered all over the list of a same nature.

I would think so many of us must be from Missouri, "I don't believe it till I see it. Well gals and guys, I think we have seen it. When is the last time we have seen so many long scoring plays. Ahmen Green, Rogers, and you fill in the blanks on the others.

This team is for real. A very mobile QB, two running backs that with enough carries will both top 100. Receivers who know how to play the game. A defensive backfield that will haunt many an opposing QB. A kicking team that will drive everyone to the 20 yard line with no runbacks and if we don't get 6, well tee it up and we will almost always get 3.

Mr Cody, you have had a tough year so far. I can sympathize with you, first looking at a shot to be the number one when Lee goes out with surgery, but then this young whipper snapper pulls his T-Magic. Tough to take and I know it added additional pressure on you and probably lent to these drops. But hang tight guy, we are all with you. Just one sprained ankle, torn ligament and your our man. Relax and just play your game. Receiver Paul has had his bad plays too, but he pulls some great ones, just like you will my friend.

Who was responsible for pulling Helu after four plays and the putting in Rex and then pulling him after he had run three or four plays? That meant we had a fresh running back every few plays. That has to be tough on the defense. Who is responsible for flooding the field with DBacks? Even though there was only one sack, look at the harassment Locker took.

Now i am not trying to call any one unNEBRASKIN, but maybe we get so carried away with some errors, we cant see the CONSTANT GAIN in this group of young men, thanks to our coaching staff.

I have been on this list since 97, always enjoyed but very seldom post.

I am out here in Wildcat Arizona territory and proudly wear my Nebraska shirts every time I play golf. Since last year, guys dont invite me to play with them anymore. hahaha

Roger

A re-shuffled offensive line just this week for Washington means a true Freshman
aking his first start on their O line. A lack of a running game to speak of.
just don't see them scoring 20 points on us. That said, it's a much stiffer
est all the way around for us, and with a Freshman of our own at QB in a very
ostile environment, with our O having a tendency to give the ball away, points
ight be hard for us to come by, too.
I think we have the POTENTIAL to have an explosive offense this year. But it's
ind of "I'll believe it when I see it for me". Hopes against hopes that we hang
nto the ball and rack up many points. But the skeptic in me says more like
uskers 16-10.
