Ah, Dave is back with his name-calling of other listers.
Let me interrupt your personal attacks with some factual refutation
of your characterization of Cody Green as "nothing short of awful".
For 2010, from huskers.com:
PASSING GP-GS Effic Cmp-Att-Int Pct Yds TD Lng Avg/G
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Martinez, Taylor 3-3 144.72 28-43-1 65.1 392 1 55 130.7
Green, Cody 3-0 218.06 6-7-0 85.7 71 1 33 23.7
Lee, Zac 1-0 169.50 3-4-0 75.0 45 0 24 45.0
So Green is completing 86% of his passes for more than 12 yds per attempt
with zero interceptions and an efficiency rating of 218.06. That isn't
"awful", it is great. The top-rated passer in FBS has a rating of 200.
RUSHING GP-GS Att Gain Loss Net Avg TD Long Avg/G
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Martinez, Taylor 3-3 40 462 41 421 10.5 8 80 140.3
Green, Cody 3-0 9 32 1 31 3.4 0 7 10.3
Lee, Zac 1-0 3 21 0 21 7.0 0 7 21.0
Green is averaging 3.4 yds per carry. It is difficult to evaluate a
QB's running, but last year Lee averaged 1.7 ypa, the year before
Ganz averaged 2.8 ypa, and Taylor averaged -0.5 in 2006. So, this
certainly isn't "awful".
How about production?
WKU 2nd Quarter - TD
WKU 4th Quarter - TD
Ida 2nd Quarter - TD
Ida 4th Quarter - Downs
Ida 4th Quarter - Robinson fumble
Ida 4th Quarter - Time
Was 2nd Quarter - Green fumble
Was 4th Quarter - Punt
Hardly "awful", especially for the first halves (2 TDs in 3 possessions),
when the full playbook is more available.
So, what is so "awful"? Losing one fumble?
Green has played very well so far, albeit with not enough plays to
make conclude much. With a 218 passing efficiency rating, a respectable
rushing ypa, and having decent production, he definitely has not been
"awful". Who should we believe, you or our eyes and his statistics?
And, when he has such good numbers, it is strange that you
insist on calling him "awful". Maybe your calling him awful is due to
your propensity for name calling.
