[Husker] predictions, anyone?

For being the greatest fans in college football, Husker fans seem to be incredibly good at turning on someone whom they can blame for their unanswered prayers.
I blame video games. You're playing NCAA Football 2011, and a guy goes down who's ranked 89 goes down, and he's replaced by another guy who's ranked 87. You don't see much of a dropoff, they're just virtual human beings.
Same thing translates to watching them on the field. We hold them up as icons, but when they're not worthy, they're to be tossed aside like so much trash, "Next Man Up", and all that.
It's not unique to Nebraska, but since we're constantly patting ourselves on the back, you'd think we'd recognize it and be a little better at it.
I'll get off this pedestal now. It's gotten too high too support itself. :)
