FW: [Husker] predictions, anyone?

Fellow Husker Listers:
OK... Here is why I predict a close game today.
(1) TM's Experience
I've watched both of the games on DVD and feel like the TM is *NOT* ready
for the mental aspect of a hostile environment. I see some things in his
mannerisms that lead me to believe that he will make too many
mistakes...heck the kid just turned 20 and I sure hope that he didn't party
too much this week! TM does have amazing athletic ability and one or two
broken plays might balance out the mistakes in this game. I hope that I am
wrong about the mistakes.
(2) Coaching
The fact that Sarkisian and Holt were Offensive and Defensive coordinators
at USC when they handed the Big Red back2back azz-kickins does also play a
role in my prediction. Granted they don't have the same talent pool in
Seattle...but the cupboards are not bare either. Again, this argument can
be watered down when you consider that the games were played while Callahan
and Cosgrove were guiding the ship.
(3) The Cannon
This guy is going to be playing in the NFL 12 months from now. His quick
release and ability to scramble [avoid sacks] poses a challenge to the
Blackshirts aggressive style. There has to be a defensive scheme to respect
the cannon...and I am glad we have the Pelinis in charge of making the
calls. But how do you contain The Cannon AND the RB, Polk??? Today we find
out if the Blackshirts really are better than last year's squad.
BTW, we get the mirror image of the game so I'll try to post some more
reflections later tonight or tomorrow.
Go Big Red!
