Actually, it was, "...broad stripes and bright STARS". After 9/11, that went away.

As for Oklahoma fans.... way back in the dark ages (1981) several of us went to the OU game in Norman. It was Mark Mauer's finest hour as he came in after Turner was hurt (chunked in the leg while holding the PAT). Husker won going away. Everywhere we went, fans were respectful and congatulated us on a good win. Granted that was back in the old Big 8 days.
