Its not so much the game, but the opponent.  The Hilltoppers just aren't a
big draw, I'm willing to bet.  And PPV may have some affect on attendance,
especially at $40.  Folks without tickets may prefer to sit in a bar or
restaurant rather than make the effort to go to Lincoln, hassle with the
parking and the hike to the stadium, and all that.  Fair weather fans?  Not
really.  I myself had thought about going down and trying to pick up a face
value ticket, but then my local brewery is offering the game and $2 draft
beer (the good stuff, not the commercial stuff brewed through a horse) from
kickoff to final whistle.  Now, for Western Kentucky, I can hardly pass that
up, so I won't.
