I don't see that as changing things much from recent scheduling, not
for Nebraska, not for other teams in the Big Ten, and probably not for
half half of the teams in the FBS cohort of Division 1 football.
But most years I would expect that Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota
and Northwestern (alphabetical order) will have a better overall record
than Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, and Missouri did for
most of the Big XII's existence, so it is a bit of an upgrade in the
conference schedule for the Huskers.
Texas is already making plans to beef up its non-conference schedule to make
up for the departure of Nebraska from its schedule 50% of the time and
head off the SOS argument.
