Wow...I am shocked at the relative weeping on here.

Martin's hit was a legal hit. He hit him with his shoulder FIRST. I can target with the crown of my helmet all day but I have to make contact first. OSU dude had off-season back surgery among other injuries. That's why he was lolling around on the field like an idiot.
Furthermore, I'd be doing cartwheels and dancing on the sidelines if I decleated someone like that. Special teams players LIVE for hits like that. I bet he got 50 high-fives when he came off the field. Football is a contact sport, folks. Keep your head up.

Really, whether you think it was a illegal/dirty/malicious play or not, it's very hard to argue that the Big XII bias is in plain daylight right now.

Ask yourself this:

Was the Eric Martin hit really the worst hit in the Big XII since the beginning of the 2009 season when the rule was implemented?

Was the Eric Martin hit really the worst in THAT GAME?

P.S. In my view of the play, the helmets did collide, but he led with his forearms and shoulder to the chest and the helmet contact was a result of running through the block, IMO.
