Home Field Advantage:
For gaming and other primitive prediction models, some folks used to add 3~6
points to the home team due to this mysterious thing we call Home Field
Advantage. Below are the current streaks for HOME games W's [ >10 ]:
34 - Oklahoma
28 - Boise St
21 - Utah
18 - Alabama
19 - TCU
14 - Oregon
12 - Troy
12 - West Virginia
11 - Ohio St
...and, conversely, below is a list showing current streaks for AWAY game
W's [ >5 ]:
16 - Boise State
8 - TCU
7 - Nebraska
6 - Virginia Tech
I agree that whining about home games may be overblown, but winning on the
road is understated.
Go Big Red!

Is this thing about playing better on the road than at home getting a little
out of hand? This year...so far...we lost to Texas at home. Texas' defense
had our number and the receivers let Martinez down so he couldnt loosen up
the rush so we lost. In 2009 we lost to Texas Tech who was clearly a better
team and Iowa State in a laugher. 2008 we lost to Virginia Tech and
Missouri...better teams. Other than Iowa State, an aberration if there ever
was one, we lost some games to good teams at home while BP was putting the
team back together.
I think the chatter about poor play at home is overblown.
