[Husker] On to Oklahoma State

I only half agree. On Saturday, Lee made better decisions and executed better
than Martinez. But you are correct that Texas loosened up the defense when Lee
came in, because they figured Nebraska would throw more with Lee at that point
in the game. That opened up the running game a bit.

Texas dared Nebraska to throw the ball on Saturday. Martinez had a chance to
make the Longhorns pay for that choice, but the receivers literally and
figuratively dropped the ball. My thought at halftime was that if Burkhead
would have caught that touchdown pass, the whole game would have turned. Another
catch instead of a drop would loosen up the defense to give the running game
some traction, and I still believe Nebraska could have rolled.

Since Nebraska's big problem last week was receiving, changing quarterbacks
doesn't help much. Also, Nebraska won't face another defense like that until
December at the earliest.

I must have missed it Saturday, why would Lee start over Martinez? When Lee went
in the game, I was not overly impressed, I think he had some success moving the
ball (weren't there also two pretty big penalties on Texas that helped?) but it
seemed to me it was because the Texas defense had game planned to stop the
running Martinez and didn't really prepare for Lee in the game throwing it a
little more (or at least the threat of it). I think the two qbs are pretty
different in what types of passes they throw also, whether that is Watson or
just simply their styles of play who knows. The coaches put Lee in for a spark,
and they (sort of) got it. My thought is if Lee started (and Texas coaches knew
it all week) he would've had as much if not more trouble with that defense than
Martinez had.

Martinez is clearly the starter as far as I'm concerned, and I am pretty sure
the coaches feel the same.

I would guess that Martinez will start.

I'll be in Stillwater for the game for the first time ever. Maybe my throat will
have recovered from the Texas game by them.

Statistically, we should be able to move the ball on OSU. But right now, I
don't know where our offense is at. It WILL be interesting, to say the least.
This is one of the bigger 2-game stretches I can remember.
