So, I guess what some are suggesting is that Gilbert is a dual run-pass
threat *and* the coaches did not adjust?

Gilbert had 11 carries for 77 yds.

QTR 1- 6-51. 5 carries came on the 1st two drives before the coaches had a
chance to make in-game adjustments.
Resulted in 3 FD and 1 TD. Admittedly, MB and staff
had a game plan that beat us on the first two possessions.

QTR 2- 4-17 1 carry for TD was quick snap QB sneak
QTR 3- 1-3 only carry came with 10:24 left in the 3rd quarter
QTR 4- 0-0 when TX took a knee at the NU 3, those lost yds don't count
against the QB

QTR 1 - Drive # 3 1 for 5 yds = FD; Drive ended with Punt.
QTR 2 - Drive # 5 1 for 41 yds = FD; then 3 R up the middle including QB
sneak for TD
QTR 3 - Drive # 8 2 for 16 yds = FD, Drive ended with Punt

Only one of his 4/16 completions had game impact. He had no completions
after the first drive of the 2nd half --- which ended in a punt.

I wasn't impressed with Gilbert. I think the Blackshirts did OK to adjust
and contain Gilbert. I wish the tackling by a few players was more
fundamentally correct. Nonetheless, I maintain that despite all of that,
the dropped passes were the major reason the standings show an "L".

Go Big Red.
