[Husker] Surprised; not surprised

What an ugly effort by the team and the coaches. I'm a terrible pessimist
so take that into account when you read my post. I expected Texas to win
the game. They have too many great athletes to lose 3 in a row. This NU
team has been a disappointment to me so far. They seem to lack something, I
believe it is leadership. They don't have that strong senior leader that
gets them fired up. Why wasn't the QB in the faces of the receivers when
they dropped passes? The QB is supposed to be the leader on offense.
My score on the game:
OFFENSE
Passing: 1st 3 qtrs. C, 4th Qtr. B
Receiving: F
Rushing: C
DEFENSE:
Rushing: C- (Too many missed tackles)
Passing: D- (Line - Absolutely NO pressure on the QB)
A (Secondary)
COACHING F
Team not motivated to perform. Sloppy play is on the coaches.
Refused to adapt to stop the run.
Stuck with confused QB too long.
No sense of urgency to speed up play until it was too late.
OFFICIATING F- (So bad even the announcers were laughing about it)
As the newly appointed MMHC (Monday morning head coach), I'm announcing the
following changes:
The Starting Receivers are now backups. I've seen enough. Youngsters will
get playing time. Drop a ball in practice, you run to Juanita and back.
Drop one in a game and you run to Wauneta and back.
Lee to be the QB for the remainder of the year. Martinez is going to be
great but he needs some seasoning.
Bring in Holtz to give the team a motivational speech (Hah, hah _ I added
that just to see if you were paying attention...) Maybe I have a bad memory
but I don't ever remember Osborne teams make that many mistakes.

Others will surely disagree with me on this, but I thought NU was able to
run the ball at times, but just not make the big plays. I think the
fumbles and dropped passes hurt the running game, as did the improper zone
reads. For the last quarter and 1/2, the Huskers made the right reads, and
were able to move the ball effectively. Unfortunately, they didn't have the
QB in there to turn a 5 yd gain into a 40 yd gain. That said, I agree with
the change in QB.
On another note...why did the Huskers only use 1 "true" LB for the entire
game?
