I can't believe we lost to those guys again.  They own us and are laughing their a**es off right now.  Ugh.

Their defense completely shut down the zone-read.  The ball stays right in the middle for a beat with the zone-read while the qb makes up his mind what to do.  Their defense had plenty of strength to hold their positions, keep bodies in the middle, and then plenty of speed to run down the ball carrier once they knew where he was going.  No problem for them at all.  I felt like our best rushing plays were not using the zone-read and just get the ball moving right away.  We simply were not going to beat that defense without being able to pass.  And whether it was poor throws by our qbs or inexcusable drops by our receivers, we could not pass.  So they took the run away, we could not pass, and there you go.  Our defense was unprepared for their qb rushing plays.  10 penalties, lots of fumbles, ridiculous drops...we contributed all right.  Texas is good, propers to them.  Their defense had our number.

OSU and Missouri coming up.  Aye caramba.
