I want to say that I've been lurking on the Huskerlist since 93 (I think), I still have my netsurfers for Nebraska t-shirt and also fondly remember following games through Mike's textcasts. I've never really posted more than a couple times all these years but I really want to thank Mike for all the work he has done through the years keeping this going, it is greatly appreciated, more than you know. I'm sure there are many more lurkers just like me who look forward to the emails from this list but never properly express our gratitude.
I just wanted to comment on Taylors speed. We have all heard coaches talk about how players speed in the 40 doesn't always correspond to their speed on the playing field, well I've been watching a highlight clip of Taylor against K state this week and on his 80 yard touchdown he makes a pretty straight sprint right through the middle of K states defense. From the play clock you can see that he covers 40 yards, from where he starts at the 14 yard line to K states 46 yard line in five seconds, from 14:12 to 14:07 on the clock by my estimation. That's in pads, carrying the ball, and not running a perfectly straight sprint, amazing.
