Last time I saw Nebraska's athletic director send an e-mail like this, it didn't
turn out all that well for the game, the athletic director, and the head coach.

Subject: [Husker] DHS Security Alert

October 13, 2010 (Lincoln NE):
The DHS has issued an advisory raising the threat level to Orange [High]
for the Nebraska versus Texas football game in Lincoln NE. The advisory
was made after the detection and analysis of numerous communications
containing danger code-words ("long bomb", "hope we kill Texas", etc.)
indicated that small bands of fanatics are intent on turning Nebraska's
Memorial Stadium "red". The Director of the Department of Husker
Security (DHS), Dr. Tom Osborne, issued the following statement:

Saturday's game is a great opportunity for each of us to display the
pride we have for Nebraska football. As an integral part of our
team, we need your support to give us the best home field-advantage
possible. We hope you will blanket the stadium in red, be loud and
support your Huskers. Equally important, however, is providing
evidence to support Nebraskans' reputation for treating our opponents
well. Please be courteous, responsible and respectful of your
neighbors and all players, coaches and fans. Only positive comments
are appropriate in both word and print. Let's enjoy a great game and
show our Husker pride through respectful behavior.
  Best wishes,
  Tom Osborne

The DHS hopes that using Orange for the threat level will not further
inflame the fanatics.

[I'm sure that this idea could have been made to be funnier, and I
apologize to those who don't find it humorous, but I didn't want to
spend more than a few minutes on it.]
