[Husker] I thought you should see this story

I have no real problem with the BCS - it does as good a job as anything. I'm not sure a playoff is great, because with so many teams, so much can happen, but that would be ok too. I like having every week really count - but to say 'it's a mathematical formula, why would there be any controversy?" is an interesting comment. Not sure where you live, but I think there has been some contoversy.

I think the problem wih Boise State playing for the championship is that I am not sure they could win in a conference that has a decent power ranking - but I do agree, by the end of the year, the current system would probably take care of this also. The computer does weight these thing out.

I will be at the game this Saturday - screaming and hoping we can pul this out. My only real fear... if you would have asked me before the season started would Texas lose 3 in a row this year? I would have bet pretty good money saying no... well now they will!!

But it has never been a 'mathematical formula', it is a
 combination of two HUMAN POLLS
and multiple computer polls, none of which will completely
 agree with each other so
obviously they are all subjective, even the
 'mathematical'ones.

o they are all subjective? OK.

 Sounds definitive too.

You mean the AP poll that ORIGINATED the concept of a
 national champion in football,
Yes, that's the one. But what you mean is they originated and implemented the
oncept of electing a sports champion by an election where the voters are
portswriters. The whole concept, and however you want to implement it, is
sinine.
