I worry about this game, but only because I worry before every game.
Just me. What gives me some confidence is that Washington-USC game
this last weekend. I watched a lot of this game, and the Washington
team that moved the ball well against USC had many troubles doing the
same against the Huskers. I doubt that the Pelini's will load the box
against KSU, but stranger things have happened. I just don't see
being too frightened by their throwing ability. All in all, I'm
pretty confident that we can stop them enough to win.

My concern is whether they can stop us, and what we do about that if
it happens. I did watch some of the ISU-KSU game, and I thought the
KSU defended the ISU zone read pretty well. Now, the ISU QB is a
capable QB running the ball, but in general ISU doesn't have the
quickness and speed that the Huskers have. I think it comes down to
how well TM reads that defense and makes the right decision. I would
think that Snyder will have some interesting wrinkles ready for us on
the defensive side. Will he have a shadow on TM? If so, does that
open things up for Helu and Burkhead? If they load the box, do we
have some options in the 5-15 yard pass range? That would seem to be
where they would be most vulnerable, especially over the middle.

All in all, it should be a good game to watch. I'll be in St. Louis
on business, but I hope I can find a TV in a bar that doesn't have
baseball on the screen. I go with the 38-17 Huskers. I would agree,
if we score 30, we win.
