Posted to HuskerMax.com earlier today. I'm a lot more confident in our
ability to slow down OU than OSU.

This is OU’s passing per game, sorted descending by # of yards. Jones has
thrown for a max of 468 yards in the OSU game and a min of 217 in the Utah
State game. Jones averages 329 ypg. In losses to A&M and Mizzou, he
averaged 297 ypg. The only conf games in which he threw for less than this
was the UT game.

The A&M and Mizzou games also accounted for OU’s lowest point totals of the
season. In these two losses, and the AF, UT, and Utah St. games, OU’s
lowest passing yardage games, they averaged 260 ypg and 26.4 ppg. In the
other seven games, OU averaged 378 ypg and 45.4 ppg.

In the 5 lowest yardage games for OU, opponents have an average Pass
Efficiency Defense rating of 30 and a Pass Defense rating of 50. In its
seven more productive yardage games, OU’s opponents had an average Pass
Efficiency Defense rating of 78 and a Pass Defense rating of 98.

I think it’s clear that OU’s passing offense has come against less than
stellar pass defenses. When faced with competent pass defenses, Landry’s
production drops significantly.
