[Husker] bowl musings

Two thoughts rolling around... one directly Husker related the other potentially. 

1.  If Nebraska wins the B12 championship game, they go the Fiesta Bowl, most likely to face.... Connecticut.  If they lose they go to the Cotton Bowl to face either LSU or Arkansas.  Assuming we win either bowl game, wouldn't the latter scenario, even if it involves an additional loss,  be more palatable than the former?

2.  What if Auburn loses to South Carolina, and Oregon loses to Oregon State?  TCU would likely be in the BCS Championship game.  Which 1-loss team would face them?  Wisconsin?  That would shift the venue of a likely TCU-Wisconsin Rose Bowl match up to the BCS game.  That would move the Rose Bowl match up around a bit.  Would this scenario have any implications for the Fiesta Bowl?   

I'm not real keen on playing the Huskies if you can't tell.
