[Husker] Big XII refused to present Nebraska with the Big XIINorth trophy today

Not buying it. The conference couldn't have sent Assistant Big XII
Commissioner Ed Stewart (yes, former Nebraska All-American linebacker,
and he of the "Nebraska is still Nebraska, and Kansas State is still
Kansas State" quote)? I think Ed could probably have handled himself,
even if the entire stadium turned on him, which wouldn't happen.

And I can't remember where I read it, but one of the alleged anonymous
emails suggested that the commissioner carry a gun. As ridiculous at
the suggestion is -- again, Memorial Stadium does not strike me as a
violent place -- I can't help but laugh at the idea of a "Beebe gun"
... 8^)

A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring
one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their
own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the
mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of
good government... - Thomas Jefferson, First Inaugural Address
