I was next to the student section tonight. Great idea by them to wave the yellow flags when a call went against us. The level of officiating by the back judge and line judge defies explanation. Line judge (the guy with the "L" on his back) is the guy who missed the incomplete Burkhead "fumble" (happened right in front of him) and had a half dozen poor spots. The back judge (guy with the "B" on his back) had a terrible game. Folks, there was no interference on the Kinnie reception touchdown (the number 3 from Colorado did not even touch him). The blocking below the waist on Marlowe was a terribly call in the first half (look in the rule book......it is not blocking below the waist if the contact is initiated above the waist and then proceeds to below.....which is exactly what happened). He had two other flags that were "picked up" and he was the one who was non-chalant on the fair catch where our guy go hit (rules state it makes no difference about the level of contact......only states "incidental contact" is not penalized....but there was no one else near our guy from our team so how can this be incidental?). I knew there would be trouble when the head referee did not shake the hand of the little girl who was the "kick off kid" prior to the game. Also, what in the he__ is the umpire (the guy with the "U" on his back) down by Colorado during warm ups and shaking hands with the Buffalo line coach and the offensive line of CU???.
