[Husker] Conspiracy or payback

Because that strikes me as the sort of thing that would get someone federal
time. It would be tampering with sporting events in a way that organized
crime would do. Granted the knuckleheads in the B12 office aren't high on
Nebraska but I doubt they would risk doing hard time over the affair.

I'm not sure what the correct term is but racketeering comes to mind. I
think there are several things at play; poor execution and the effects of
Coach's sometimes foul disposition on officials.

Curious as to why you doubt the Big 12 office would make a back door deal
with the Refs?

I'm not sure a back door deal is even needed. Refs are hired by the Big 12
Office, paid by the Big 12 Office and probably don't get on the payroll
unless they have the "right" attitude. AKA - it's all about TEXAS baby!

It seems well established that Bo is pretty passionate and intense to
the point of being a little boorish. There are great things about that
but I think there may also be some draw backs that relate to this
penalty issue.

He rides the refs hard. Even if it's not a conscious thing I think
that could show up in calls against us. While Tom Osborne would call
people out you could also spot him using charm on them too. Its not
only Dr. Tom you'll see other coaches working refs in ways that don't
involve harsh adjectives.

While it makes good conjecture I have my doubts that the Big 12
offices would crate a back door deal to guarantee refs would throw
calls against us.
