I agree.

I am torn on the giving officials a piece of his mind.

I have officiated, and when your wrong or missed something, it hurts when
the coach or fans point it out.

Does he go overboard, yes. However, when he got the penalty the team
responded. They seemed to get fired up and put on the best drive of the
second half.

That said, the Martinez thing was embarrassing. Maybe he is channelling
Woody Hayes, but that is not effective teaching.
