Assuming the quote is correct, I've been a little unsettled about Taylor's recent comments that "this is my team".  

I'm wondering if there's a bit of a sense of entitlement that, in circumstances like a tight game, might annoy a coach.

How does anyone know Martinez didn't tell Pelini to go phuck himself or something? We will never know the whole story so there's no point in guessing.
