I think the reconfiguration has something to do with the addition of
on-field luxury seats a few years back.
There could also be a cost consideration. Field goal attempts from inside
the 20-yard line were sailing over the right field bleachers on to Sheffield
Avenue. I'm sure the ballhawks who normally hang around Waveland and
Sheffield Avenues would fight for a ball and not give it back!
I'm usually in the area of Clark and Irving Park and should have walked down
the few blocks to Wrigley Field to take photos of the
