I know people like to see competition among players, but was this kid going to play at all with Martinez around for 3 more years and Turner (?) coming in too? I've seen film and I realize he is an elite high school qb but he's probably guaranteed success in baseball while I'd say there is absolutely no guarantee he'd even see the football field at Nebraska for 2-3 years.
Me thinks he is considering this as well.

just about anything but 1st round money to come here. Well, that hope is
fading fast as Bubba is now Baseball America's #1 rated H.S. baseball
player. He's looking at a top 5 pick probably.
