I didn't see the game, so maybe its not my place to comment, but why is it bushleague to go for a trick play like an onsides kick in the *first* quarter?  If they were up by 70 points late in the game, I might understand the outrage, but you said they were only up 14-0?  That's hardly a blowout.  Are we really to the point where teams are being accused of ruts in the first quarter?  That's really more of a comment on the overly sensitive nature of college athletics these days than a knock on bsu.  I for one have been impressed with bsu's program for a long time.  I just wish they would join a bcs conference and get the respect they deserve.

Well not really Husker related (although they played Idaho) but as I think about how Boise State seems to lack respect nationally, I wonder if going for an onside kick when up 14-0 in the first quarter could be something that contributes to why people outside of the Northwest US (and Oklahoma, hee hee) don't respect them. To me it's kind of a bush league move by their head coach.
