So you can never say that Team A has a good defense, but struggles
offensively? That seems like a weird stance to take (aka the left side of
my car is fine, but the right needs work)?

Still meaningless IMHO. It's like saying the left side of your car is
working great
when the right side has no tires.
Statistics don't win games or championships, and seldom win arguments
