[Husker] Nebraska vs Kansas stats (UNCLASSIFIED)

First of all, Bo's statement after the Holiday Bowl was more than likely 
part exuberance and part throwing down the gauntlet as a challenge to 
this year's team. Several things happened.

Most of our problems are in the middle.

1. The person who was going to play the Dillard role in this year's 
defense (Fisher) broke his leg. David has been great, but he is still a 
little undersized.

2. The next most experienced linebacker (Compton) broke his foot and is 
rounding into playing shape.

3. Crick and Steinkuhler have not performed up to expectations. But were 
these expectations realistic?

4. Pierre Allen has been severely limited the last several games because 
of multiple nicks.

5. I love Ricky Thenarse and his story, but he has been a very poor 
tackler when compared to either Asante or OHanlon.

6. I think they believed the hype and thought all they needed to do was 
show up. (This could be the coaches' attitude as well). They have played 
up or down to their competition and have been very inconsistent.
