Strange as it sounds, the game may have been won at the coin toss before OT.  When NU lost the toss there, either from confusion or by accident, the NU captain made the choice to play the first OT session going into the wind.

After watching the fake multiple times, I am convinced that the ISU player was open enough to make that play if the toss had been with the wind.

I guess it was NU's turn to have something good happen.
