[Husker] WHB 810: Nebraska & Mizzou Invited to Join Big Ten

This afternoon I started wondering what kind of counter-offer we might get from the Big 12 to stay?!? That said, it is both intriguing and exciting to think about the possibility of a move to the Big-whatever conference. I hope they will finally get the number correct in the name!

I also did a bit of searching at the USPTO. The Big XII has filed for the trademark "Big 14" - still in prosecution. Obviously, not in use, as such, registration will be difficult to impossible...

BTW - "The Big 16" has been claimed by some bakery in Canada...I don't see much of an issue of conflict/confusion, then again... 8^)

Looking at the University's official statement, there does seem to be wiggle
room for something like this 'Oklahoma offer'. It doesn't say that they
haven't been contacted, nor does it say they haven't been in any kind of
formal negotiations.
