I was listening to an NFL guy who is at the combine being interviewed on the radio today. I think his name was David Grant but I'm really not sure, but the guy sounded very competent. The interviewer clearly wanted to talk about Tebow but Grant was frank that the QB who is shining most is Bradford. Anyway, they started talking about the two DT that will go high, Suh and McCoy. Grant said both had been very good at the combine. He said that coming in the thought was that McCoy had a quicker first step than Suh, but that didn't appear to be a big difference. He said that the impression may have been because " Suh played in a more read/react system whereas McCoy was turned loose on the bull rush more often." That is plausible I suppose, but I didn't see how anyone could think Suh wasn't a quick as hell rusher. I checked and Suh had more sacks than McCoy, as well as more tackles for loss. Suh spent an awful lot of time in the opponent's backfield
for a guy that wasn't allowed to rush as much. Does anyone have any ideas on this?
Dave
