[Husker] Tuberville on short life span of Big 12-2

Gary will certainly confirm this...but I do recall that the current FSN deal expires after next season. I believe the ESPN cable package is part of that arrangement, as may be the Versus package. The current ABC afternoon package runs for about 4 more years beyond that, until I believe 2015.
As I recall, Texas was only willing to commit to the Big XII through the end of the ABC deal; hence, the reluctance of Harvey Perlman and Tom Osborne to put much faith in the future of the Big XII long term.

This is really Gary's area of expertise, but I thought the current
contracts were good through either the 2011 season or 2012 seasons.
Of course a contract can be renegotiated at any point, and Dan Beebe
was certainly IMPLYING that the Big XII was in negotiations for new
TV contracts.
