Look... the is fact among 99.9% of all Nebraska fans...Texas fans are the anti-christ. Nebraska fans are the chosen ones. Once everyone realizes that Nebraska is God's territory and the rest is, frankly wasteland. Then we will all be better off. I live in Oklahoma and I seriously believe the old 70's bumper sticker... If I owned Hell and Oklahoma... I would rent out Oklahoma and live in hell.
That is true. Nebraska is the only place to live. It is truly..."The good Life."

For the sake of arguement, lets say you are right about the ball hitting a guys foot, many yards away from an official. And lets say the conference officials jobbed us on purpose for the sake of BCS $$$.
Everyone around the nation knows that Nebraska kicked Texas around the field that day, and Nebraska should have won. We showed up, beat them up, and lost at the last second. The right thing to do is to shake the winners hand. and move on. There is a difference in standing up for yourself, and being bad sports.
Everyone saw what happend. 1 second left, no seconds left, whatever. Not everyone has 23 years of television production experience. We just know the ball hit the ground or a foot with 1 second left and Nebraska lost a heartbreaker. Classy teams, and classy fans move on the realize that next time we better be sure we are ahead by enough points so the refs can't job us even if they are ordered to.
Nebraska gained a lot of respect because of how they played that day.. I'm afraid we lost a lot of respect because we keep saying, "it hit his foot," "you jobbed us on purpose." Even when it's true, it sounds petty, and small.

OK...I DVR'd the NU-Texas fiasco and I replayed it frame by frame. The rule states...that the ball must hit a railing or the ground before the clock will stop. Well...if you look carefully, it was kicked off the heel of a man walking on the sidelines. It then bounces on a rail, but by that time the clock was at zero.
I produced TV for 23 years and slowed down the video frame by frame. THAT is the conference refs stepping to save the BCS $$$$ not a fair game, period. Oh, by the way...what the heck were you looking at? That's why we think we got jobbed...because we did.

Where has that famous Nebraska class gone to? Yeah, we've had a rough go of it for awhile. Been mistreated a little, been beat up a little, and gotten a little unlucky a few times recently. Why am I constantly reading or hearing fanatical complaining coming from the only solid group of people left in the entire nation.
That 1 Second Thing: I've watched the replay of the infamous Conference Championship game from last year, and I see the ball hit out of bounds, and the clock still says 1 second remaining. Why then do I still read about how Nebraska had the game stolen from them by putting 1 second back on the clock? How red are your glasses not to see the 1 on the clock when the ball hits the ground?
I wanted Nebraska to win that game as badly as any one of you. I've been going to games since 1967 and there is no doubt about my loyalty. But what is with all this complaining?
Kick the ball off in bounds, cover the return, and we probably win. Constantly saying we got robbed because of 1 second being put back on the clock is not only not classy, it makes us look small, and doesn't play very well anywhere other than maybe a couple of downtown Lincoln bars. C'mon people, your smarter than that.
