And part of that argument is that damage to the conference, as such, is 
meaningless. The only damage that matters is that suffered by the 
individual schools within the conference. Thus it might be that the 
conference loses some TV revenue, but the individual schools get as much 
or more because the pie gets divided ten ways, rather than twelve. In 
that case, I would argue there is no damage to be compensated.
