You are right on both counts. The bylaws also say, however, that if the 
withholding does not cover the liquidated damages, the league can assess 
the difference to the withdrawing members. And the 80%, as I understand 
it, applies against two years' revenues. Hence the big numbers coming 
out of Beebe.

I thought the idea of the orphans ponying up their share of the CU/NU 
assessments was a bargaining ploy that never actually got enacted. Does 
somebody know differently?
