stated that TX is not going to give up the paternalistic power it now
has in the Big12(-2).

Utah has been extended an invitation to join the Pac 10, which sources
report they
will accept as early as tomorrow.

Does that end the threat of the Gang of Five leaving en masse to join
the Pac-10 at a
future date if the Big XII is unable to come up with the promised media
largesse, or 
does it just leave one of those teams out?  A&M was reportedly looking
at the SEC.
