The cost of damages will be negotiated because it is in the interest
of both parties to avoid expensive litigation, but where there are hard
feelings settlements are sometimes tough to reach. If the issue does
go to a judge, the venue may matter. Though I don't know where the case
would be litigated, the Big 12 is based in Dallas.
