[Husker] Time to move on

The past couple of weeks has been quite fascinating and made for volumes of
journalism; some of it good and some of it... well .. one word
"orangebloods".

Now the stage seems pretty much set and the details will fall to the lawyers
and politicians. And as always in this century, with much chumming from
blogs and "tweeters" (which is still a high pitcher speaker in my mind).

For my part I'm ready to move on with the next stage, waiting to see how NU
integrates with the Big 10, and pondering other things such as what if NU
were to make it to a BCS game this year? I'm also pondering the team psyche
of being "marked men" by every single team they play in the league this
season. If handled correctly an "us against the world" could become a
magnifier for their intensity. How sweet would a Big 12 championship be

At this point I don't think I care whether K-State is having to give the
Longhorns their lunch money on the way to school. What I want to see are all
the NU teams taking care of business to go out on a high note, and for
Nebraska to find its fit in their new home. NU's plight reminds me in a mild
way of the Biblical story of Nehemiah and the rebuilding of the wall in
ancient Jerusalem. As the program football program rebuilds and progress is
made, don't expect our former captors to be happy about it. The best
medicine will be to win on the field and have class while doing so.
