BINGO!!  Based on the comments I read that were the mostly nasty kind,
that was the reason.  Apparently there wasn't an offer from the Big 10
like they had been led to believe.  They're hurt that they weren't the
object of someones affection because the Big 10 couldn't see just how
great it would have been to have the Tigers, what with all their TV's
in St. Louis and KC.  And worse, the Big 10 wanted the Nubs (hint:
that's us), what with our so few TV's and we're just a bunch of xxxx
(fill in the blank with a derogatory name of your choice).  And to top
it off, we're likely to struggle mightily in the Big 10, and we're
headed to many 6-7 seasons coming soon.  No, really, they said that.
Based on what, I'm not sure.

They're gloating because they're miffed.  The Prom Queen didn't pick
them to go to the big dance, and they're not happy about it because
they were so much more deserving.

To be very fair, that was not the prevailing sentiment in the blog
comments.  Most were more critical of their administration, a lot were
critical of Texas and Dan Beebe.  Some even sided with Nebraska's
reasons for leaving when they could, and a few defended it.  But the
few knot-heads made it more interesting to read.  One person
continually commented that now that Nebraska is in the Big 10, they
will blackball Mizzou - we just can't get over the 52-17 drubbing we
got (when the heck was that, anyway??).
