[Husker] adjusting emotionally and fantasies

How do I turn on my emotions to start rooting for the B10 teams even though
I really appreciate what the league stands for? Years of emotional reactions
to different uniforms have been wired into my brain and heart. I'm sure I'll
transition but I wonder how long to re-program some emotions that are not
rationally based.
I like the move but have generally always rooted against most B10
teams-especially Michigan.
I admire JoPa but have had it in for Penn State because of their fans; also
the notched end zone did not help.
I feel some remote kinship to Wisconsin and Michigan State: I think it has
to do with B. Alvarez and Duffy Daugherty.
And what about the old B12 teams that I used to root for over the B10 teams?
Here is my wish list for them:
Kansas wins the Big 12 after a close well played game with Iowa State that
comes in second. NU wins over KU in the national championship in overtime.
A more shameful wish: OU goes winless except for its game against Texas
which it wins 54-0. The OU rivalry is hopelessly lost now but I still would
not call them names like a former NU coach; still cut the old bond by
consigning them to one place above where I want to see Texas. Maybe this is
easier said than felt. I still have memories of greatness in the old NU-OU
contests.
The ultimate schadenfreude: Texas loses their first game to Appalachian
State on a controversial call by a Big10 official who rules that time ran
out before they could kick the game winning field goal. Texas goes winless
and goes on NCAA probation ala USC with no TV games for two years just 2
days after they sign their big TV contract.
The Texas AD and Mack Brown step down, Texas hires the former AD from NU and
Pittsburg and he hires the coach and DC who came to NU before Pelini.
Not that I am vindictive, mind you. I wish no one ill health or injuries on
the field. Just a little fantasy here.
